At least two people have been killed and up to 100 people have been injured as two bombs exploded almost simultaneously near the finish line of the Boston Marathon today, leaving behind a scene of carnage and putting the nation on edge.
It was revealed that an eight-year-old child was one of the two people confirmed dead – after the twin detonations ripped through the crowds lining the finishing line of the marathon at around 2.50 p.m.
Witnesses reported scenes of utter ‘pandemonium’ in the seconds after the devices exploded on Boston’s Boylston Street sending thousands of runners and spectators running for cover as emergency workers rushed to aid those hurt.

Hours after twin explosions rang out near the city’s Copley Square, President Obama appeared before the nation to tell them, ‘We still don’t know who did this or why they did this,’ vowing that Americans stand by those affected.
The reiterated that many people were injured, ‘some gravely’ and remarked that on days like today, ‘there are no Republicans or Democrats,’ emphasizing that it is crucial not to categorize the bombings as terrorist attacks.
He made clear that the ‘full weight of justice’ would be brought down upon those responsible. ‘We will find out who did this and hold them accountable,’ he said.
Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis had said at an afternoon press conference that there was a third, uncontrolled explosion at the JFK Library which was believed to be an electrical fire.

Eyewitnesses at the scene said there were two loud explosions about five seconds apart, and emergency vehicles crowded the scene.
Witness Dave Weigel said via Twitter minutes after the explosion: ‘I saw people’s legs blown off. Horrific. Two explosions. Runners were coming in and saw unspeakable horror.’
Police told the Boston Globe that are they still finding ‘secondary devices,’ and pleading with anyone still in the area to leave at once. A controlled explosion was set for outside the city library.
A source who was speaking with authorities told MailOnline that there were shotgun shells in two explosions, which sprayed onlookers and runners with massive amounts of shrapnel, though the statement has not been confirmed by authorities.
CBS News reports that police are now looking at surveillance video showing someone carrying multiple backpacks into the area about 20 minutes before explosions. Additionally, a shadowy figure was captured on CCTV around 20 minutes before the two blasts.
One witness said ‘there was blood everywhere.’

Some 23,000 runners took part in the 26.2-mile race, one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious marathons. One of Boston’s biggest annual events, the race winds up near Copley Square, not far from the landmark Prudential Center and the Boston Public Library.
Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis asked people to stay indoors or go back to their hotel rooms and avoid crowds as bomb squads checked parcels and bags left along the race route.
The Federal Aviation Administration barred low-flying aircraft from within 3.5 miles of the site.

About four hours into the race and two hours after the men’s winner crossed the line, there was a loud explosion on the north side of Boylston Street, just before the photo bridge that marks the finish line. Another explosion could be heard a few seconds later.
By that point, more than 17,000 of the runners had finished the race, but thousands of others were farther back along the course.
The Boston Police Department said two people were killed. Hospitals reported at least 57 injured, at least eight of them critically.
A senior U.S. intelligence official said the two other explosive devices found nearby were being dismantled. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the findings publicly.
‘There are a lot of people down,’ said one man, whose bib No. 17528 identified him as Frank Deruyter of North Carolina.
He was not injured, but marathon workers were carrying one woman, who did not appear to be a runner, to the medical area as blood gushed from her leg.

About three hours after the winners crossed the line, there was a loud explosion on the north side of Boylston Street, just before the photo bridge that marks the finish line. Another thunderous explosion could be heard a few seconds later.
Runner Laura McLean of Toronto told the Associated Press that she heard two explosions outside the medical tent.
‘There are people who are really, really bloody,’ McLean said. ‘They were pulling them into the medical tent.’

‘There was a large cloud of white smoke and people were running from the blast site. Police swarmed immediately, they removed one or two people after patting them down. There were a lot of injured people … I estimate 20 people were medically transported. … I saw a woman being carried by two men and I am almost positive her left leg was blown off at the knee.’
All off-duty Boston police officers have been called in to work following the blasts.
A spokesman for the Boston Marathon said that the race’s headquarters are on lock down.

i wonder how many times they will follow the same pattern before the masses wake up to it.
i mean……. if it were one man doing all this…… you might say that the guy almost Wants to be caught….
the biggest blocker must be that people still refuse to believe that anyone… especially that those in high status positions of trust would actually do this kinda thing (or at least arrange it).
which means that there will be a transition with people deep down knowing something isnt right, and the journey to the uncomfortable realisation that everything they heard and dismissed… was actually true.

I find the reaction of the crowd to be inspiring.
No matter how many times the elite stage these atrocities against their own citizens those citizens rally round to help each other regardless of any perceived differences. You may have a situation where someone of Arab descent comes to the aid of a Jew, or a black street wise guy may aid a fallen white Police officer.
In some ways the perpetrators are attempting to cause fear, yet instead are strengthening our resolve. Come the day the real culprits are revealed to all there will be an almighty reckoning.

Exactly what I was thinking when I heard about this. And if they had bomb dogs ‘training’ there why did none of them pick up that there were bombs? Sad that the first thing through my head was disgust about what these sick people don’t mind doing to get what they want, rather than the poor people, casualties of war again, it is becoming all too normal 🙁

I have a problem with the government, I believe they are crooked and are using terror attacks to scare the people into giving up their arms and their freedoms and then blaming the attacks onto someone they don’t like.
So I know what I am going to do, I am going to plant a bomb and blow up some innocent people, that will show the government just how much I disapprove of their corruption and the people will support me too.
Disclaimer: I’m not really going to blow anyone up, I was being satirical so please don’t send anyone round, it’s really not necessary… Besides, I wouldn’t even know how to improvise an explosive device, not even if my country was being invaded.

It could be they’d received a warning that terrorists had planted bombs to explode at either the start or finish of the marathon but failed to take it seriously enough. Then not wanting to over-react by cancelling the whole event for what they believed might just be a hoax they instead took the option of having bomb sniffing dogs in those areas of concern telling the crowd it was ‘just a drill’ to avoid causing panic.

In the image with the three police officers looking up why is the window glass laying at the base of the window if it has been blown out? Why is the shop empty?
Real explosions don’t produce flame as the chemicals turn rapidly to gases; flames are usually a visual effect from Hollywood produced by igniting petrol for effect.
These images look like an exercise. The injured look like they are in an exercise. The blood looks like it has been spread in an exercise. The images of bomb-deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan show carnage but this looks like organized mess.
I don’t believe it is a real attack.

Sniffer dogs were at the event. Why didn’t they detect anything?
Why were the crowd told not to panic BEFORE the bombs even detonated? To keep them from fleeing perhaps?

Whilst I do not wish to make light of a tragedy if it be so, it is in our best interests to question everything these days.
Something just does not look right to me in the first two photos.
Surely the shock waves a bomb will travel faster than the smoke injuring and knocking people over before the smoke gets to them, but the people near the blast seem oblivious to it and the smoke is already almost covering the ones close by. They should have already been showing evidence of its force by being knocked over and injured. I agree that the whole thing looks suspect and it is quite possible for it to have been staged with only the actors and stage managers only in the know By blending into the crowd and runners at the right place and time with torn clothes and bags of fake blood at the ready. I also agree with Andy’s post above re. the injured.

I don’t for a moment believe that crisis actors were used here, this is not Sandy Hook. The explosion wasn’t large enough to do more damage, so possibly a small amount of chemical explosive encased in a metal object full of nails.
It’s crude, and would appear homemade, which is exactly how it was supposed to look. Still no explanation of how all such tragedies appear to ‘coincide’ with drills. The Police might call that a Modus Operandi and look into it if it wasn’t happening both sides of the Atlantic.
Cut through all the why’s and wherefore’s and what I do see is a terrorist attack on innocent citizens, causing fear and distress, and allowing the government to react placing TSA officers on the streets of America. Problem reaction solution.

One thing, amongst others, that concerns me is there was that amount of security and they noticed one guy with a backpack. Why did they not notice a guy carrying two reasonably sized pressure cookers and putting them in bins. In the 70’s where we regularly searched for IRA devices one of the first places you looked were bins.

I find it odd that no sooner that we hear an 8yr old boy has died , up pops a picture of the dead boy holding a cardboard/paper sign , saying NO More hurting PeOPle , Peace , where and when was this picture taken and for what reason ? , was it done at school as part of a project ? Richard, I think Carl and Don have clearly stated their case. Do you think that the Military Industrial Complex needs a bigger budget? You think that they reacted to a threat without enough sniffer dogs or marksmen on rooftops. You have to rotate the dogs to give their noses a rest. There are pics of a guy wandering around a roof and yet no swat/army snipers about! So a crazy man notices all the extra security and still goes ahead with it on his own, then manages to escape and still nobody claims responsibility for it. How many terrorist organisations do you know of that try to instill terror without announcing themselves? You have to know who the bogeyman is or how can you be scared of him? Lastly, a professional killer always has an escape planned. You don’t collect the money if you are dead, so it would be somewhat unprofessional to not either have a team or a plan in place. Unless you knew you had a free pass! The sudden extra security would have made a pro pull out, or do you think strolling around with a bag full of pressure cooker bombs when surrounded by sniffer dogs and soldiers is an acceptable risk? What is the point of somebody killing a bunch of runners? No political gain, just vilification of the perpetrator! Why not a political/banking figure? Come on, don’t kid us that you are that naive!

There was far too much surveillance going on for someone to dump two heavy rucksacks in bins then casually and invisibly walk away. I mean, wouldn’t even the people in the crowd next to those bins not notice that?
I think the real lesson we can learn from this hasn’t been mentioned. It is that the government has lost all credibility. The very fact that we’re questioning this proves that we think them capable of killing their own people. And THAT is the outcome of this incident. It doesn’t really matter who is behind it now because whoever it is pinned on the general feeling is the government are liars, and we can’t trust them.
Like Chris said at the top, False flags don’t work anymore because today we suspect the government first before any supposed terrorists. We remember the gulf of Tonkin, USS Liberty, 911, WTC 7, Iran contra, and a thousand other dirty tricks.

There is another possible explanation for the “stay calm” announcements and the reluctance of the authorities to answer that question, namely that they had received a tip off prior to the explosion with very short notice. There may have been fuck ups in the response to this.

I have not looked at other photos and as it warned of graphic content I assumed these photos to be an indication of the injuries. I would not like to see the other more graphic photos and will take it that the dead and injured are for real. How evil. May those responsible for this be punished measure for measure twice over.

welllll. i’m probably wasting me time but hey ho i have plenty to waste.. @don. Don i have actually posted a few replies to you but they havent appeared. i;m still puzzled as to why if ‘the government ‘ have gone to all the trouble of planting a bomb they would then ask everybody to ‘keep calm ‘if they were undertaking an undercover operation why have everyone wearing obvious seal uniforms? if i was a spectator or participant at an event like this i would be glad to see them . a conspiracy like the one you seem to be advocating here would have to involve hundreds of people, there is no way it wouldnt eventually come out, someone somewhere would have a pang of conscience and spill the beans. a lone nutter is still the most likely explanation but if that turns out to be the case it wont make any difference to most people on here, they will still believe what they want to believe. thanks for the video though.

By the video evidence and other we can accept this case was not the norm. However you seem unable to question your reality or rather the PTB’s. It appears to me that it is you who wants to believe what you want not others who are questioning.

I don’t understand why most people aren’t in the slightest bit suspicious after 9/11. I have seen lots of evidence pointing to people that were injured are actors, even faking dismembered limbs and you a navy seals officer who been pronounced dead much before. Why would they be so plain obvious if a bunch of people on 4chan managed to detective this quite quickly? They are obviously counting on the citizens to play dumb and ignore any evidence – which many are.
Would a rucksack house a pressure cooker the opening would be tight for it to fit into and then the zip would be seriously strained. The windows look like the have come outwards rather than in.
That no more hurting people peace picture I have seen on my Facebook news feed and I’m absolutely 100% certain of it, maybe two weeks ago. I need to go through my history to see if it’s there…
It’s a little convenient they have found a Saudi to blame.

Richard I can’t get my head around two things. First up you appear to be of the opinion that a conspiracy must always be one of shadowy figures doing the deed, presumably in ‘terrorist ‘ (or redneck) garb? Don’t you understand the concept of hiding in plain sight?
We’ve seen 911, we saw WTC 7 fall at free fall speed under controlled demolition without ever being hit, and yet you claim that these things cannot be done brazenly right before your very eyes. No doubt WTC7 took hundreds of people to achieve also, but they’re a certain kind of person, and you can’t attribute normal human emotions to those types.
The second is this ‘government’ you keep talking about. Who are they? The IRS? The highways agency? The education department? When you say government do you mean the entire government which includes people who in the main have no idea about these things?
When I say ‘government’ I don’t mean those people, nor even the corrupt elected representatives. I refer to the people that THEY take their orders from – the REAL government. The people behind these acts who are steering the direction of our world without ever being elected.
Am I accusing elements of the FBI? Possibly. The CIA? Almost certainly. Did the president give the order to do this? No I don’t think so but he’ll know who did, Did someone connected to the federal reserve CFR and Wall St give the order? Yes I’d say so, because that’s who runs America.
Once it’s done will politicians make capital out of it, restrict freedoms further while ignoring hard evidence that would uncover the real culprits? Absolutely! So are they then complicit?
Saying you have some time to kill how about you spend an hour watching the following video then come back and tell us how it couldn’t possibly have been covered up by the government as it would take too many people. If you actually do that then I’ve no more to say to you as I’ll see you as one of those guys who just likes to piss in the well.

thanks don and carl for your considered replies. much appreciated. i will definately have a look at the video. i only said i might be wasting my time because i posted several things that didnt appear. what devalues your arguments is that EVERY incident that happens is according to your viewpoint part of a ‘conspiracy ‘ can’t you just accept that there are some very sick individuals about who are capable of doing very sick things. maybe there are’ shadowy groups ‘ in the background but actually they cant be that shadowy or that far in the background because you seem to know all about them. how exactly would the orders from ‘the real government ‘ trickle down to the actual person who supposedly placed the bombs?i asked in one of my posts which didnt appear if you actually really believed those kids at sandy hook were ‘ satanically sacrificied ‘? please say you don’t.

@Richard no I didn’t see that, but they can say anything they like to really. People believe what they want, and they trust rather than question events like this as it’s compassionate. We know that not everything is as it seems given they can manipulate live feeds and photographs passing these off as truth. I trust no one and question everything. It’s incredibly naive to believe everything you hear on the tv or read in the papers. Remember who is in control…

Richard I agree with you that there are assorted nutcases out there to add to the mix, a fact that just makes these things harder to investigate. I also take your point that everything cannot be a conspiracy, some tragedies are accidents.
What I will say in regard to all incidents is that once you begin to follow geopolitics you then come to understand the direction these people want to take us. They know it’s going to be difficult to justify starting more wars or removing citizens rights, so they create the necessary conditions.
The trick is to apply your knowledge of geopolitics to every ‘incident’ and work out who might benefit from this and how? If, as with Sandy Hook the government agenda is furthered by the tragedy, and lots of anomalies remain deliberately unanswered, often with the press not even asking those relevant questions you can be pretty sure something stinks.
I don’t advocate jumping to conclusions, what I do say is know and accept that western governments are not representing the people they purport to serve. They are instead representing the interests of multi-national corporate entities.
If they are prepared to start wars with all the resultant death and misery on a false premise (and they are and have done) then blowing up a few innocent civilians won’t trouble them in the slightest. Obama goes on TV to say how horrific this incident was, yet to me it looked like a drone strike, therefore something he authorises every day elsewhere.
Obama’s moral indignation is as phoney as the investigation into Sandy Hook.

There have been some more pics released and they show agents with dessert boots and slacks with backpacks who look very dodgy imo.
Shift to texas and the fertiliser plant has clearly been blown up with something other than fertiliser, hellfire or J-dam missile i rekon.

I can’t help thinking that FINALLY the American people have an inkling of what American drones have been doing to INNOCENT civilians in other countries. Natives of those countries, NOT “insurgents” or whatever, just people in their OWN countries, minding their own business.
This is what the U.S. has been doing in Iraq- Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Libya, Syria, Mali, et al.
