Stop This Cruelty Now
Christopher Spivey
Sometimes I fucking hate being me.
Sometimes I hate being a part of this world.
Both statements are particularly appropriate when I receive emails like the one sent to me by Karin MacCurrie (reprinted below).
The email is about animal abuse, in particular dogs. Anyone who is a regular reader of mine will know that dogs play a big part in my life. In fact, to say I love the fury bundles of fun, friendship, loyalty and unconditional love is like describing the Pacific Ocean as a big puddle of water.
Therefore, after reading the content of the email and looking at the links, I find myself writing this with murder on my mind… And believe me, I fucking hate feeling like this.
I don’t think it unfair to describe myself as being fairly good with words. However, after watching the video in the first link I cannot even begin to describe the hatred I feel towards the cunt involved, or the pain that I would inflict on him.
These people are sub human… There is never an excuse to justify animal cruelty… If the monster can do this to an innocent, petrified animal, then he is capable of inflicting the same on his own species.
Gandhi once famously said that an eye for an eye will result in a world full of blind people. I’m not Gandhi, unfortunately. And, try as I may to encourage peace and love, as far as I am concerned, some things are just too unforgivable to let pass unavenged.
Karin needs our help. Lets not let her down ay.
The Email
I am trying and have been trying desperately to get this to the attention of Chris.
It’s not just an appeal for one dog in a world of tortured animals, it is sooooooooo much more now.
It started with the persecution of an already crippled animal (quite common in Bulgaria where are animals are treated like scum) and Dr Litvko his owner who found him 12 months ago dragging himself accross the floor as somebody had crippled him and severed his spine. Since then the village Doctor has been vilified and threatened by the villagers resulting in the attack that can be seen here and has caused world wide condemnation.
https://www.change.org/petitions/justic … s-own-home
Since then people have been up in arms and e-mailed the Bulgarian parliament, the police, the mayor of Selcha, the prosecutors office, most of the EU MEP’s, the Worldwide media (mainstream), and TV7 who filmed this attack and promotes the “WAR ON STRAYS”. Well guess what TV7 was purchased last year by Alegro Capital based in London and here is the article that explains this:-
http://www.novinite.com/view_news.php?id=145309
We then found Alegro Capital and Patrick Martin and his LinkedIn e-mail address has been bombarded too.
Chris to date we have NOT HAD A RESPONSE FROM ANYBODY. We know they know about it as ‘open letters’ are being published in Novonite (another Bulgarian media outlet) but since then the Doctor has been served with an eviction order and death threats, the police in this hell hole that passes for a member country in the EU. (, the one the EU has told should treat the other EU countries as it’s playground http://www.rochdaleonline.co.uk/news-fe … playground
This is the latest, so the animals and Dr Litvko and all animal activists in this country face a worrying time and not one of these so called leaders have done a damn thing to help or intervene or even acknowledge our pleas. CAN YOU SHOW THIS SHOWER UP FOR WHAT THEY ARE AND HELP BRING THIS TO PEOPLES ATTENTION. You must be seeing what we are seeing now. The EU don’t give a shit about standards of decency from Bulgaria and they have been given carte blanche to come and reside with us, they are savages with the full approval of the EU and not a thing is done about it. Please please do an article on this Chris.

From
Justice for Disabled Borko! Punish the man who savagely beat him in his own home!
A Lynch Mob and the Media staged a shameful act of barbaric abuse on a family dog and used intimidation in order to force the village Doctor, Dr. George Litov, out of his home and work, only because he is helping the strays in the village, where there is no vet and no shelter. The TV news article in no way criticised the mob for their actions, they only blamed Dr. Litov for helping strays. The Police were called, and they did nothing. They did not even attend.
This is the 21st Century, yet Bulgaria, a member state of the European Union, does not prosecute crimes against animals and allows atrocities like these to happen unchallenged.
Why?
Bulgaria has very good, modern Animal Welfare Law (APA 2008) that forbids inhumane handling of animals and places strays under special protection. On 14 April 2011, Bulgarian Parliament passed an amendment in the Penal Code, which criminalized Extreme Cruelty to Animals. That came onto force on 27 July, 2011. So, what is the problem then?
The problem is that Bulgaria has no enforcement body to implement the new law and therefore change cannot take place. Bulgaria has no legitimate Zoo police with powers and Bulgarian police officers do not want to bother to investigate and take animal abusers to justice. Since 27 July 2011 we witnessed a number of extreme animal cruelty cases in Bulgaria and no criminal was caught and punished with jail term, or even with a fine. Our complaints go unnoticed and in some cases we’ve been told to “shut up or else”.
Bulgarian animals live and die in agony! Criminals never get investigated and punished! In most cases Police laugh it off or simply do not accept their duty to protect animals.
This must STOP NOW!

I’m clicking but the K9-rescuse link tells me the website does not exist. I’m tweeting and emailing alerts about these evil people. Free spaying for bitches doesn’t take much thought does it. Horrible folk in Bulgaria and why are we still the the bloody EU?

Thank you Chris

Well said!! A hellhole for animals and the decent people that care for them.. This is part of Europe?????
Maybe Europe should think twice before incorporating more Neanderthals in the EU.

And these people are soon to be allowed to come to the UK? I have read articles reporting how they treat their orphans in a similar fashion, and this in government run institutions. We need to be OUT of the EU, and let those member states flood themselves with vile criminals, we have enough of our own.
April 8, 2013 @ 12:17 pm
Now there’s a village that should be droned out of existence and from next year they may move in next door W.T.F.! is going on
April 8, 2013 @ 12:32 pm
Can’t watch the video i’m afraid, it might just send me over the edge!
Personally i would happily ‘do time’ to inflict similar damage to the Bulgarian ball bag that hurt this beautiful creature.
I really am close to putting my foot through this fuckin’ computer screen but ignoring whats going on in this SICK, SICK world will not help man nor beast!
Thank fuck for Dr Litov, now thats a real man! Yet another true hero who won’t appear on no stamp!
April 8, 2013 @ 12:59 pm
@ ashadowfalls I have a saying “better to deserve a medal and not get one, that get one and not deserve it”.
That sums up this gentleman Litov, and the British house of Lords respectively.
April 8, 2013 @ 2:57 pm
and we are getting 27,000 of the sub human bastards to live here next year…………grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Just Execute the Scum who are Cruel to Animals such as Described
That should be the Punishment
April 8, 2013 @ 4:33 pm
I just emailed this to the President of Bulgaria – Rosen Plevneliev
I find it disgraceful that a disabled person was subject of attack when he helped a dog who was in obvious distress.
How can this be allowed to happen?
May I respectfully suggest dogs and bitches are neutered, for free. This will reduce the number of dogs left to suffer brutality in your country. This is such an easy solution to the problem.
The problem in my view being the continuous “War on Strays”. It is 2013, is there really any need to declare war on animals? Surely a man with your academic background can see the needless barbaric torture of defenceless animals is tantamount to insanity of those committing these crimes.
I understand Bulgaria has strict animal welfare laws but it seems enforcement of the same is severely lacking. Why is this so? Could it be the welfare of animals is just a paperwork exercise to lead people to believe you care?
Why is it that you have an excellent record with Bulgaria’s wildlife management but not with all animals in Bulgaria? The Animal Welfare Law (APA 2008) forbids inhumane handling of animals and places strays under special protection. On 14 April 2011, Bulgarian Parliament passed an amendment in the Penal Code, which criminalized Extreme Cruelty to Animals. That came onto force on 27 July, 2011. How is it then criminals are not punished?
Why is the media allowed to encourage animal abuse in your country? The Bulgarian Journalists are the main instigators of the so-called “war against the stray dogs” this is the exact term they use in their TV shows and articles. They are the ones who encourage the barbaric primitive acts on the defenceless stray animals and should also be held accountable for their despicable actions.
Bulgarian animals live and die in agony. Criminals never get investigated and punished.
I trust I shall receive a response.

Over in Asia dogs and cats are regularly on the menu and kept alive for the prospective diner’s perusal. When will humans ever learn to love the other species on this planet and revere them for what they are? Probably never. Sorry to hear about Bulgaria being so nasty towards dogs though. Animal abuse is not cute, funny, etc. any way you go about it. It is unnecessary period.
April 8, 2013 @ 8:16 pm
I have always believed that we should do to the people just what they did to the animal, beat them, set fire to them, what ever they did to the animal.

I was looking at Rudozem Street Dog Rescue at work today after reading the post in the forum sectoin. Seemed to have pc problems last night, so thought I’d have a look today.Nearly shed tears at work and was getting so worked up that I just really wanted to get hold of one of these scum that hurts dogs. If they do it to dogs they are one step away from doing it to kids. If you know anybody that served in the Peacekeepers In Eastern Europe you may have heard of people of all ages being fed into woodchip machines to save bullets. A Rumanian dog rescuer was burned alive in her rescue along with her dogs by locals that had warned her to give up the dogs! Fucking disgusting fuckwits! The EU is letting these sort of cunts into the UK? Get us out of the fucking EU NOW! There is a shepherd dog called George on the Rudozem website. He had his ears cropped, probably to make him look tougher and has had a bullet removed by a vet. Saved by a Brit couple over there and now in rescue and they have helped him recover and learn to love people again! Don’t buy dogs from breeders when there are so many in dog rescues in Europe and the UK. Save those poor souls! I beg you! I am begging you, please do something if you can please, please, please! Spanimal.org look after dogs in Spain, Serbia & Bosnia Herzegovina. Bianca Dog rescue in Portugal.

Thanks for the links Chris, I did all the necessaries. I can’t watch the clips cos I’d be bubbling (crying) all week. “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated”. Mahatma Gandhi
April 9, 2013 @ 7:44 am
Dogman I am with you on that, as I have said before this is not just about one animal, but it is about the EU and their deafening silence to all of this……It’s these people I want to hear from and the Bulgarian parliament, and I want to see something done about it. Furthermore, I don’t want these heathens to come to our country, we already have enough of our own scumbags without these bastards as well. The EU is not a force for good, if it was these atrocities would not go unpunished. The EU wants to be a superstate, it evidently does not care about morality amongst it’s members.
We need to petition petition, lobby and petition some more.
Linda, I do hope you get a reply, I haven’t so far and I included the whole of the Bulgarian parliament and at least 300-400 MEP’s the whole of the world press and so far not a dicky bird, not an acknowledgement, got a few out of office replies, but not one response. Thank God for Chris and Novonite in Bulgaria who have published the story. Any help, by tweeting and sharing on Facebook etc, would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Karin, I’ve signed the petition and I applaud what you are doing! Not enough people like your goodself about unfortunately. I would be willing to chip in if somebody on here wants a dog but has money problems. I’ve got money problems too, and already have 4 dogs and unless the lottery comes up I can’t have more, but I would contribute to a fund set up to try and rescue these dogs. Can’t afford much, but if we can start the ball rolling…….somebody that has money may take notice!
April 11, 2013 @ 1:48 am
There is a ‘CHIP In’ site set up to help Dr Litvko and Borko and the two other dogs as the poor animal needs nappies and other essentials, including a wheelchair made to his specifications. It requests a donation in Euros, so if you google a currency convertor and convert the amount you want to donate in Sterling to Euros, you should be ok. Any amount great or small is appreciated.
http://www.youcaring.com/other/chip-in-disabled-borko-justice-fund/51440 also there is a link to help Gary Edwards who plans to fly over there and assist the situation and try and mediate. Good luck Gary and thanks to anybody who can contribute. Thanks

I live in Portugal and I can tell you that it is bad here too. My heart bleeds every day when I see the poor abused dogs everywhere. At this moment I have 29 dogs I rescued but have to lie and hide them as the locals are bent on “getting me” and having them all taken away to be put down.
But then….. some of the wealthy posh retired Brits around me, would like that too.
I can assure you that my dogs are no trouble to anyone as they loved and thus well behaved and are fenced in on my farm far from the village. So excuse me, for I am a lady, but what a fucking insane world this is! Why is it that mentally dead people begrudge those of us who are still alive (and awake) any form of happiness????
Really when I read what you write, I know EXACTLY how you feel and I also often do not want to remain alive in a world like this!!! Only COWARDS can get pleasure out of hurting something that is defenseless and physically smaller than they are. I hate revenge but sometimes I would like to pay these animal abusers back in their own medicine and watch them, worms that they are, squirm.
Thanks for being our strong voice, also in the other sick matters that are threatening this planet.

I applaud you Amelia. I·m an ex-pat living in the Valencia region of Spain and apart from the barbaric nature of Bull fighting we also have a huge problem with both stray cats and dogs here in this area. We have two rescue dogs at the moment and plan on getting more as we find them, much to the dismay of our neighbours. We also live outside the village and would pose no problem to anyone. As for Bulgaria and it·s nonexistent animal welfare program…well what teh funk can I say, it·s a bonafide horror story!! and have you ever seen the state run children·s homes? equally as bad if not worse.Us genocidal fucking HU-mans need to have some chlorine in the gene pool, it·s way to dirty!
